Adventures In The Crystal Empire 2012.Princess Celestia learns of the reappearance of the Crystal Empire. Previously a city where Crystal ponies lived, it had been taken over by the tyrant unicorn King Sombra (Jim Miller) who enslaved the ponies and threatened to use their power to take over Equestria. Over a thousand years ago, Princess Celestia and her sister Luna had sealed King Sombra away in ice, but as a last effect, Sombra cursed the Empire causing it to vanish. Now that it has reappeared, Princess Celestia, worried that Sombra will reappear with the Empire, instructs Princess Cadence and her husband and Twilight Sparkle's brother Shining Armor to the Empire.
