After Azuma destroys the fleet of council ships summoned by Doranbalt for support, Wendy demands Doranbalt's assistance in defeating him; however, they and Lily are overpowered and nearly killed. Makarov prepares to repel Grimoire Heart by casting his ultimate Fairy Law spell, but the dark guild's master, Hades, threatens to counter with the similar Grimoire Law spell. To his horror, Makarov recognizes Hades as Precht Gaebolg, his predecessor as Fairy Tail's master.
