This only enrages Ereshkigal further, since she feels she's only carrying out the duty she was given. Ritsuka then realizes that Ereshkigal had been possessing Ishtar's body during the night while talking to him in private. He concludes that Ereshkigal's plot to bring all of humanity into the Underworld is based on her desire to protect them...
