Shiki, back in the building knows that he only has to run but can't seem to make his body move. Mihai tells him that mosquitoes use a poison to make the person numb while they suck out their blood, and that he couldn't wait to see Shiki get his blood and organs sucked out painlessly until he fades out of consciousness...
