In the present, Takemichi and Naoto locate Nobutaka Osanai, the former president of Moebius, who is now a timid construction worker. Despite denying direct responsibility for Draken's death, Osanai claims that the fight between the Tokyo Manji Gang and Moebius was intentionally orchestrated and also triggered an internal conflict in the Tokyo Manji Gang. Takemichi returns to the past and begs Mikey and the others not to follow through with the fight, but they refuse to listen. Osanai and the rest of Moebius then suddenly appear.
