Guardians of the Galaxy Origins is an American animated television series, based on the Marvel Comics team of the same name.The series will air as a part of the Marvel Universe block. While it will serve as a continuation of the first film's plot, movie director James Gunn has stated that it is not a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe nor connected to the feature film or its sequel. The series will pick up where the movie left off facing off against Thanos as its major villain.
