A wealthy couple is on the way to a ball dressed in their finest clothes and jewels when suddenly, a magical thief attacks their carriage and steals their jewels. Gonzales tells the story to Diego and Brenard, to which Diego states that women shouldn't go out with such expensive jewels. Maria scolds the men about their lack of understanding about women. Diego studies up on magic to prepare for the fight when Lolita enters in a beautiful ballgown and jewelry - ready for her date with Diego (which he forgot about). On the way to the ball, they get stopped by the thief. In their attempt to flee, Diego rips Lolita's sleeve and then runs away from the fight...
