The terrorist attack is stopped, and Himari, Ringo, and Masako awaken with no memory of the events or of Kanba and Shouma having ever existed. At home, Himari finds an old letter from Kanba and Shouma; she does not recognize it, and she is confused when the sight of it causes her to cry. Outside, Shouma and Kanba walk past as young children, accompanied by the four penguins.
