Nanoka is shocked by his declaration, suddenly seeing him in a new light, and Koshiro hastily tries to walk back what he said. The next day, Nanoka avoids him by leaving early and gets jostled and groped on the train. That evening Koshiro gets home very late, and leaves very early the next morning. On the third morning Koshiro offers to commute together with Nanoka, and apologizes for earlier. He protects her on the train from the crowding in the car, and she finds herself unwittingly responding to his physical closeness.
