Dodoria is taken by surprise by Vegeta's new strength, and the Saiyan Prince easily overpowers him. Pleading for his life, Dodoria barters information for his freedom. He tells Vegeta that it was actually Frieza, not an asteroid, that destroyed Planet Vegeta. Although taken aback at this new revelation, he kills Dodoria anyway.
