It is revealed Mion attempts to draw on Keiichi with a marker, instead of using the syringe. Rika reacts thunderstruck and later tells Keiichi no one else remembers his murder except her, and she forgives him. This strengthens his understanding of Rena's situation and he resolves to prevent such tragedies from occurring again. He apologizes to Mion, who is uncomfortable and baffled by it.
