Meanwhile, Zen and Yun have found the watermill in the village, not knowing Tōya went inside. Come nightfall, Jin finds Shuga, who mentions about his encounter with Chagum earlier during the day. When Mon, Zen, and Yun prepare their ambush, they see the watermill on fire. Tōya set it on fire to warn Balsa of the ambush. Seeing the fire, Balsa takes Chagum with her, and they set off with Tanda and Torogai to Tomi Village.
