When Minnie refuses, the king locks her in a tower. Mickey appears as a traveling minstrel and rescues Minnie from the tower, but the king discovers them before they can get away and condemns Mickey to death, anachronistically by guillotine. Just as Mickey is about to be killed, Minnie confesses her love for Mickey, at which point the king orders a duel between Dippy and Mickey. Mickey tricks Dippy and cuts off his spear in the guillotine and chases him out of the castle.
