After Akatsuchi is wounded in a run-in with a group of ninja who deserted the Hidden Mist in protest of the Allied Shinobi Forces, Naruto convinces the group's leader to let go of his grudge against the Hidden Stone for a past incident. He promises to carry the world into a time of peace. The episode ends with a boat appearing that has been sent from the Land of Lightning to pick up the group from Konoha.
