Meanwhile, Takasugi and Katsura have finished their devices against mechanical dolls and work to place them around the city, but when Takasugi returns to his hideout, he is attacked by Hijikata and the Shinsengumi and arrested. When Takasugi later wakes up on one of the airships, he finds Mugensai.
