This draws the attention of Prince Ethelbald, who requests Will to meet him. Will uses the opportunity to ask for troops to fight the recent demon incursions from the Beast Woods. When Ethelbald declares that he is unable to do so, Will instead asks for permission to hire adventurers and mercenaries to combat this threat on his own.
