Johann smuggles in the other riders with his ship, but though they infiltrate successfully, they are discovered and imprisoned in the caverns while their dragons are put on auction, beginning with Toothless. The riders escape with the help of the disposal Hotburple named Grump who Gobber bonds with and send the hunters running. Though Viggo manages to get away with Berk's gold, the dragons are still rescued, which Gobber assures Hiccup counts for something.
