When Seiji leaves to buy drinks, the redheaded girl drops his phone into a fountain. Namie becomes worried, because Seiji cannot be contacted or found. Worried that the police might find him, Namie decides to go to Izaya for help. In the past, after she learns that Seiji has fallen in love with the head in her uncle's study, she moves it to Yagiri Pharmaceuticals. Shortly after, the head gets stolen. Some time later, Seiji calls Namie saying that he killed Mika after she discovered the stolen head, which Seiji stole. In the present, Izaya informs Namie that Seiji is in police custody. Earlier that day, the redheaded girl receives a message on her cell phone saying that she is being pursued and attempts to run away with Seiji. They pass Shizuo and Celty, who recognizes the girl's head as her own, and Celty chases after her. Seiji is held up by Shizuo while the redheaded girl bumps into Mikado, who helps her escape. Namie reveals that she had the redheaded girl created from Mika's body. Namie later orders her bodyguards to find and retrieve the girl, and to apply deadly force if necessary. Elsewhere, Mikado houses the redheaded girl, who claims that she has amnesia.
