Knowing that it’s been retired from service and that it never travels east of Shin-Osaka encourages him to pursue it. Suddenly, he emerges to see an unfamiliar city. After meeting three sisters who are named after the Shinkansen, he tours this unfamiliar city: “Tokyo-3”. But his fun is cut short by a bizarre and horrific Giant Monstrous Being that attacks Tokyo-3 without warning. With all of his attacks deflected, Hayato is informed that only one unit can pierce this monster’s impenetrable force field: the Shinkalion 500 Type EVA and its pilot… Shinji Ikari.
