Team Rocket kidnaps Pikachu and Goomy, but they break out of their cage with the help of Goomy's slippery body and return to Ash. Team Rocket has the upper hand in the battle against Ash when Inkay confuses Pikachu and Fletchinder. Goomy saves Pikachu and Fletchinder with a Bide attack, giving Pikachu enough time to break out of confusion and beat Team Rocket.
