Ram convinces Garfiel to confront his past and take the trial again, where he realizes that his mother left the Sanctuary to find his father. Accepting the past, he makes peace with Subaru. Emilia retakes the trial after Subaru promises to go on a proper date with her once it is all over. In the trial, Emilia finds Echidna and reveals she is a witch's daughter named the Frozen Witch.
